VMware Best Practices Question (April 5, 2008)

This question has come up several times in the past month :

“Many companies now utilize VMware as the standard environment to handle multiple demo copies and versions of their products. Are there any recommended best practices around this?”

Use "Remote Desktop" to connect into your virtual machine - it's easier to go full-screen and seems to look better. It also lets you have multiple logins to your machine at the same time. If your host machine can't network to your guest machine (maybe your guest is a DNS server), try going to the host's Add/Remove hardware and installing the "Microsoft Loopback Adapter," a virtual network card that both host and guest can share.
