The Opposite Test

Back to my personal crusade about marketing drivel.

The opposite test, as originally suggested by Guy Kawasaki, states that if you describe your product in terms such as "fast, scalable and easy to use" you should only do so if your competition uses antonyms of those adjectives (the opposites). So unless your competitors describe themselves as "slow, limited and difficult to use" ....  why bother ?
